Jamiesen Borak is the son of a snake oil salesman and a human rights activist, which makes him a natural fit for a comedy writer. He grew up in Connecticut and studied the lucrative craft of screenwriting at Emerson College. Thanks to the magic of Twitter, he landed a job with Bill Lawrence (creator of “Scrubs”) while still in school. He’s since worked in various writers rooms, mentored under Steve Franks (creator of “Psych”), and was a finalist in the Nickelodeon Script First program.
Jamiesen believes the best stories are ones that strive to move you emotionally and reveal something great about humanity — before they sell it all out with a joke.
Also, he wrote a movie about Tim Allen.
